What RemBox is

RemBox is a private visual memory app. You save photos of things you want to remember, and you can ask questions about them later. This page explains how we handle your information.

Information we collect

We collect the account details you use to sign in (name, email, phone number, or Google account), your plan, and usage counts such as how many memories you have saved. When you add a memory, we store the photo you chose and the text RemBox extracts from it. When you ask a question by voice, we process the audio only to turn it into text.

How we use it

We use your photos and questions to organize your vault and answer you. We use your account details to keep you signed in, apply your plan limits, and let you manage or delete your account. We do not sell your data. We do not use your photos, extracted text, or questions to train shared AI models.

How it is stored

Each account has its own vault. Photos and extracted fields are encrypted at rest with a key unique to that vault. Other users cannot open your vault. Sign-in tokens stay on your device.

Who can see it

To analyze a photo or answer a question, RemBox sends that content to our servers and to the AI provider we use for that request. Those providers process it to complete the request and are not permitted to use it to train their models for RemBox. We do not share your vault with advertisers or other RemBox users.

Device permissions

Camera, photo library, and microphone access are used only when you take or upload a photo or ask a question by voice. RemBox does not scan your library or record in the background.

Your choices

You can delete any memory, which also deletes its photo. You can delete your account in Settings, which permanently erases your vault and account. Signing out only ends the session on this device.

Children

RemBox is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If these policies change, we will update this page. Continued use of RemBox after an update means you accept the revised policy.
